WTF

This is Jersey, not Buffalo.  Enuffalo!

At 11:30, I broomed off her car and then shoveled around it to
give my daughter a head start for school in the morning.  It was
still coming down pretty hard with 3-4 more hours of snow on the
way. She'd better get her butt up and out there early.  Even with a
90 minute delay, she'll be cutting it close...too close, I guarantee.

Then I shoveled a pit stop for the wiener dog.  After much coaxing,
she bowed her head and let her rip.

And now you're gonna make me wait?

Contrary to popular folklore,
Mr. Green Jeans was not Frank Zappa's father.

  1. Weird weather everywhere. We suffered through a gloomy cold summer, went onto a hot fall and now are in a very sunny, mild winter. It's actually warmer now than it was in the summer. 66 yesterday.

  2. I finally decided to come to California in the middle of a winter like the one you're shovelling out from under.

In the last stretch, I drove west through 1200 freaking miles of frozen tundra - Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and the Sierra Nevada.

I remember coming down out of the mountains into a green valley where everyone was complaining about the rain and the horrid 50-degree weather.

I shook off my mukluks and knew, in that moment, that California was going to be a piece of cake.

  3. Like Babka? You guys just keep rubbing it in,
go ahead. Sniff-sniff. April is just around the corner.

BTW- O Docker, was the mukluk reference to Nanook and the yellow snow?

  4. Looks like it ain't a fit night out for man or beast. Poor Hazel.

We dip below freezing at night, and days only get into the low 40s, but the snow's all gone and the sun is shining. I'll count my blessings.

  5. Out here, on the Central Coast, we never had a summer in 2010; we're sure getting it now!

  6. Poor Hazel, yeah I say that all the time. Sleeping all day....the horrors!

Doc: That's what Joe said. Go sailing for me.
    Please.
