ReplyDeleteNow, I'll be forever wondering whether the sun is rising or setting - probably the same thing Simon and Garfunkel were wondering when they recorded this song.
It was setting, like it does every day, over Philadelphia way far away in the distance.
DeleteThe names are different in the video, but the issues are somewhat the same. Eerily ironic. Humans will just never get it right.

DeleteIn 1966, I was just graduating from a high school where that sun is setting in your photo. No one suspected then how much worse the 7 o'clock news would be getting in the years just ahead, or how much of it would be choreographed by our former vice-president.
The seeds of cynicism were being sown in an entire generation. And some of those seeds can still be seen growing in places like my blog.
I wonder if Monsanto makes something to control that.
Former vice-president? Dan Quayle has a lot to answer for.

DeleteBTW, that Quayle clip was supposedly filmed in a Trenton elementary school, and the last I heard about that kid, he was doing time.
