At first glance, one might think he is seeing a sashimi assortment.
I'm here to tell you that this is my sink strainer, untouched and
appearing naturally as things were captured during this evening's
dinner preparation. Wouldn't that be kitschy for a sushi joint to serve
an appetizer in a clean sink strainer? Let's see who can identify
the most items. BTW, dinner was good.
Potatoes, capers wrapped around a blue rubber band, I guess. There are some weird stick things that could be herb stems. What intrigues me is what looks like a stink bug. Please let us know that the stink bug was not on that nights menu.
ReplyDeleteTillerman, are bugs vegan?
And a little carrot peel, and maybe a bit of radish?
ReplyDeleteNasty bits trimmed from red potatoes, scallions, lazily sliced down to both sides of the rubber band, an eye from one of the potatoes, a safety seal pull-off top from a new bottle of cheap olive oil, tomato skin, a bit of roasted red pepper, and a dead stink bug. The kitchen sink defined.
