A New Jersey state of mind

Postcard from the Natural Amphitheater

"No matter one's mood, one's burdens, one's regrets; this city and
its dramatic landscape heals the soul.  Every sensory perception
is quickly heightened, tested, and enjoyed.  A bucket list essential."

My very great friend Braveheart and his family visited the Bay area
this past week, and he's kept me up to date as to where they've been
and what they've done.  I asked him to caption this photo he sent
to me.  I'm sold buddy, no arm-twisting needed.

    1. And a broken compass is right, once every 360 degrees.

A broken scale is right if it happens to be the correct weight.

A broken thermometer is right if it happens to display the correct temperature.

What this rant has to do with (what I assume is panoramic view of Elizabeth New Jersey), I have no idea.....Is that Rahway State Prison in the background?

  5. Oh, give me a home where the sailboats roam
Where the lasers and the catamarans play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
    Home, home on the bay
Where lasers and the catamarans play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

How often at night where the heavens are bright
With the light of the glittering stars
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed
If their glory exceeds that of ours

    Home, home on the bay
Where the lasers and the catamarans play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

Then give me a land where the bright diamond sand
Flows leisurely down to the stream
Where the graceful white swan goes gliding along
Like a maid in a heavenly dream

Oh I would not exchange my old home on the bay
Where the lasers and the catamarans play
Where the seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

    - Dr. Brewster M. Higley

    3. How often at night when no stars are in sight
And I'm lost and I'm chilled and agog,
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed,
Will I ever get home in this fog?

Personally, powdery perfumes do not appeal to me because they are very typical of floral perfumes and make me seem a lot older than I am.
