We had a good hickory-smoked dinner tonight. Still warm outside
afterward, I grabbed a cigar and my drink and sat on the patio for
a while. I called my buddy Doc from Santa Barbara and had a
good chat whilst my daughter bummed drags off of me. Kind of
reminds me of myself a little. Although by the time I was 14,
I usually had my own cigar.
Shouldn't be a hard one; what did we have for dinner?
Bacon-wrapped pork loin, sausage, grilled zucchini, grilled onion and grilled red-skin potatoes.
ReplyDeleteI love puzzles!
Genie, how did you get out of the bottle? No bacon, but otherwise right on. The only item that was really grilled was the zucchini. The other stuff cooked under the dome, indirectly and away from the coals.
DeleteWas that a loin or a roast, I have been a little rusty on pork products of late.
DeleteRoasted Pork Loin, tied to stay plump and round.
DeleteSee, Baydog? I'm always a day late & a dollar short on the food quizzes.
ReplyDeleteYeesh…
You have to stay up late to beat honorary esteemed blogger Genie.
ReplyDeletegood grief, I need to make a trip to NJ for some Baydog cooking. that dinner looks DIVINE!
ReplyDeleteWhat is your preferred cigar via brand/wrapper/type. I know a guy who is Ricki Ricardo's nephew's illegitimate son. Any way, he is my Cuban hook-up. Let me know what you need and I can get you the goods. Oh, BTW he says that Lucy was cheap when it came to birthdays and Christmas.
ReplyDeletePersonally, a nice Arturo Fuente or Partagas from the DR is just fine by me. Also, 'Carbon Copy', a Cohiba knock-off, is a nice-smoking cigar.
