More Swans, JP

Swans, this time across the pond, noon on Saturday,
with right of way on Forked River, New Jersey.

No matter how often or not we see them, they are
extraordinary.  So much larger than the Canada Geese
that dominate the local waters.

View from the tub and more

The dog loves the savory bits.  She's a little more svelt
than Liv lets on.  The details in the toilet seat are what kill
us.  There's a pretty well-defined space between it and
the bowl, courtesy of the two rubber bumpers in plain sight.
Does anybody remember Shel Silverstein? Apparently
 my daughter still does.

That's my girl.  Remember life being that simple?

While we're on the subject

Singing video of the day: "Tea." [For The Tillerman]

I love how they spelled wine. I think of Emily's
drawings when I see the children play.
O Docker, I couldn't get rid of the Wawa Hoagiefest ad.
I hope it had gabbagool and pizoot on it!

Lost weekend

While most of my friends and acquaintances
are lamenting about going back to work Tuesday,
my co-workers and I have been at it the whole
weekend.  After Tuesday morning's commencement,
a busy lunch, and one more busy dinner service,
things will be back to normal.  Grads will say their
farewells to each other, knowing full well they will try
like hell to attend every reunion for the rest of their
lives from here on in.  The next one is less than a
year away. I must admit, it's a pretty cool thing
being around such a rich tradition as this. I just wish
they didn't hold it on Memorial Day Weekend.
It doesn't always fall that way, luckily.
I'm gonna have a beer now, or three,
and then I'm going to bed.
