Buffed!

A gorgeous day today in the Garden State!
I hadn't been down to the boat since a couple of days after the
weather disturbance known as 'Sandy' passed through.  Today I
buffed the hull with wax/cleaner and she's looking brand spanking
new for a twenty-eight year old boat.  Shame on me for not
thinking to bring sunscreen; my face is on fire.  Oh well.

Hopefully on Friday, I'll bring the tape, paint, a brush, a roller,
and a pan and get the bottom done.  Then I can start concentrating
on the disaster I call my yard

  1. Glad you've got your priorities straight - Bay Rhumb first, yard later. :)

If you can get your hands on an aloe plant, use the (kinda slimy) juice on your face, it will really help heal the sunburn. Alternatively, see if you can buy a bottle of Ocean Potion aloe gel. Very soothing. Take care.

  2. The whole point of having a boat is to make you forget that you have a yard.

  6. Of course that was sort of my lunch plan today since it's gorgeous out and the cafeteria's closed. Whatever!

  7. A gorgeous day today in the Ocean State! I hadn't been out in the boat for a couple of weeks. Today I went for a sail in Bristol Harbor and
now I feel brand spanking new for a 64 year old geezer.

    1. Yes! To paraphrase the UNCF: A good breeze is a horrible thing to waste.

  9. Some Ipeople are fully aware of the damage overexposure to the sun can do, but still try to hedge their bets by applying a less potent sunscreen, such as one with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) in the single digits or low teens. Such sunscreens simply aren't providing the necessary punch to ward off the harmful side effects of overexposure to the sun.So pack sunscreen make sure it packs a punch
