Patterns

8 comments:

  1. Indeed, we are trapped in a life of dukkha - suffering - and will repeat the same pattern over and over - samsara, being reborn again and again - until we reach enlightenment and are freed.

If we do not gain emancipation in this present life, we may not be free from ill-faring in the ocean of births and deaths for kalpas.

Like we used to say in the 60s, "heavy".

    1. We are born in chaos and we struggle for some kind of order for all of our lives. Aristotle said,

"We are what we repeatedly do; excellence is not an act but a habit."

    2. "When you ain't got nuthin'
      You got nuthin' to lose".

      Bob Dylan

      I think Buddha would agree.

  3. I am.
    Am I not?
    I know I am.
What I am I know not.
What I am not, I know not.
Am I not what I know?
Am I not what I am?
I am and I am not.
    What, not I?
    What am I?
    What I am
    I know
    Not.

  4. Yes, yes yes, I know that you can check 1st and 2nd bags for free and there are no foreign transaction fees. But there's probably a $300 annual feel. Please shut up about the damn credit card and just sing the rat song.

  5. OK. This is getting ridiculous. Thanks for laying off on the credit card pitch, but why are you now trying to sell me a new Subaru? Please, please, please Mr S. and Mr G. shut up about the Subaru and just sing the puzzle song.

  6. Damn you S and G. Now you are pushing some Sandals resort in Jamaica.

Is it you or is it YouTube?

Or should I blame Shishir Mehrotra?

    Wait.

    I know that guy.
