A New Jersey state of mind

Packaged bads

To me, this seems to be a conflict.  In the Garden State,
as far as I know, you can't buy beer at a gas station. At
your local garden stand you can, but how much damage
can you do drinking in your own backyard?
Six packs and a full tank don't mix as far as I'm
concerned.  It might have made sense in '78, but now
that my daughter is driving, I'm thinking not.

On a lighter note, Pork tenderloins, marinated in ketchup,
soy, worcestershire, balsamic vinegar, granulated garlic,
powdered ginger, and olive oil.  Grilled medium (pink is
best; nobody gets trichinosis anymore), it's the most
tender of the cuts of pork.  We had baked Yukon Gold
potatoes and green beans with red peppers to accompany.
Leftovers will provide lunch for my wife at work, and me
on the boat tomorrow, as long as I remember to bring
the sturdy Chinette plates so as not to droop and let slide
my lunch onto the cockpit floor.

  1. Texans know how to do it right: drive through liquor and ammo sales.

  2. The Garden State is such a nanny state. They don't even think it's safe to let you pump your own gas.
