My Old Schuylkill

First you have to row a little boat

  1. Imagine them laying out a city today with stuff as cool as the East and West River Drives, the old arched stone and ironwork bridges, Boathouse Row, and the art museum.

They just don't build rivers like that anymore.

  2. The Schuylkill and the Charles (much easier to spell). Is it any wonder that each river has spawned generations of the world's best rowers?

And they don't make them like that bow man anymore, either. (See Baydog's July post: Thursday, July 15, 2004). One of my heroes.
