Anchor Start Saturday

Torch

Torch and Mary Ann, the oldest A Cat at 87.

Raven

Raven, the eventual winner.  Let's go, Vang!

Hard alee!

Witch

Vapor, Mary Ann and Lotus

Wasp

I never get tired of watching these beauties.  And I felt
even more compelled to watch this race knowing that
the World Ducks will go on without me this year.  If
you have a chance, get down to Mantoloking on Friday,
August 26th.  Another true Barnegat Bay classic.

  1. "It was so good, I almost peed my pants."

err I mean, "I liked it better than Pirates of Penzance."

(To paraphrase a couple of lines from "Pretty Woman".)

    Beautiful boats.

  2. "Pretty Woman" would be an excellent choice for a name for any one of these beautiful boats.

  4. It does seem odd to me to design a boat such that it requires so many people to act as nothing more than ballast. Think of all the phone calls one has to make just to go out for a sail...

  5. Great photos! They were down this way at LEHYC's Downbay regatta last weekend but unfortunately I didn't get out to the race course to see them.
