Groundhog Day: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

By the time I grilled tonight, all of that ice was gone.

As was the ice on the net.....

and the Chinese Maple...

And my car.

Corny, but funny year after year.

Hey, everyone slips up sometime, right?

  1. Groundhog Day has always struck me as one of the few things on this planet that are even more illogical than the English language. If it's nice enough weather that the groundhog sees his shadow, then there's six weeks more of winter, but if it's bad weather, spring is right around the corner?

BTW, has anybody ever asked Punxsutawney Phil what his views are on global warming?

  2. Groundhog Day and the Mummer's Parade....top of my list!

Sue Simmons and Bill Murray, Groundhog Day 2!

  3. The whole groundhog day thing has been subjected to excruciating analysis and interpretation. Its scientific and socioeconomic significance has been debated for decades. But the one lingering question that has always puzzled me is this:

How much ground would a groundhog hog if a groundhog could hog ground?

  4. I'm glad Phil doesn't live here. Sun, sun, sun...forecast: in the 70s this weekend. Woo-hoo, switch from bourbon to mojitos! It makes up for our summer that wasn't.

  5. Sue, apology accepted. Now what the f**k WAS that person doing that prompted your question?
