Nifty fifty

Look at this birthday present and tell me what I will never do again.

Friday night we went out for dinner and I couldn't help thinking
about my blogging friends at the Ear Inn that night. There are
at least three things wrong with these sketches, beside being
amateur at best.  What inaccuracies can you find?

My nephew, niece, and two daughters.  They've been skiing since
they've been able to go potty by themselves.  They giggle all the
way up the lift, and they bomb all the way down. We always
hoped it would be that way.

  1. Well, you may still lose your winch handle overboard, but you'll have to work a lot harder at it.

I don't know too much about Solings or Sunfish, but the Laser looks like it's right side up. That can't be right, can it?

  2. Well, you could nitpick various details that are wrong with those sketches. But they are better than I could do and at least they are all recognizable for what they are intended to be (which is more than you can say for anything I draw) so I'm not going to be to the first to throw rocks at them.

  6. PS - your birthday present reminds me of the expensive little add-on to my one wonderful vacation in the BVI's. It was so stupid - it was the last day, we were sailing back to Road Harbor, we were about to tack and I decided, ooh, I want an Action Shot of me grinding. So I handed my camera to somebody & I guess I should've paid more attention to actually sailing & less to Posing Like I'm Sailing 'cause before she even got a chance to set up the shot, I'd managed to chuck the winch handle overboard. Oopsie.

  8. Um, oh yeah! It seems kinda trite, but the Soling doesn't usually have a Genoa, nor wheel steering, and the Sunfish has a straight up and down daggerboard. Call it artistic license?

    :D
