Makes me feel young too (!!), and that's because Cast Your Fate with the Wind was the theme song (end of show) of one of the DJs (Dennis Elsas?) from the golden years of WNEW-FM (102.7) in the early 1970s, when WNEW was the national benchmark for progressive rock music. BTW, some of the best DJ staff from that era (Pete Fornatale, Vin Scelsa and Dennis Elsas) are at now WFUV-FM in NY (90.7 on the "dial"; WFUV.org on the web), which is the closest current reincarnation to that seminal AOR radio station! K
K: My favorite was Scott Muni, the gravelly voiced DJ to whom I grew up listening on WNEW. He spent many of his later years in Point Pleasant Beach, my old stomping grounds.
Just stumbled across this post. Great memories, painting my Rutgers Frat house listening to this! Anyone know where I can get a hold of that version of Cast Your Fate to the Wind?
New Jersey, Sailing, Food, Family, and anything I think is interesting at the time make up the contents of this blog. Bear with me, I'm still learning.
Vince always made me feel like the holidays are just around the corner. Quite appropriate.
